Chicago’s EdTech ecosystem is a quiet powerhouse – unassuming but deeply embedded in the city’s education-forward DNA. In mapping the early-stage ventures shaping this space, we found a dynamic landscape of over 30 companies: AI-powered grading tools, no-code learning platforms, digital classrooms, and culturally inclusive curriculum models. These aren’t one-size-fits-all solutions – they’re vertical-specific, learner-first tools that mirror the decentralization and personalization of modern education.
