Relationships, reputation, and results: TechNexus VP Kaitlyn Doyle on the Making Billions podcast
TechNexus VP Kaitlyn Doyle joins the Making Billions podcast to share insights on the state of VC, advice for aspiring investors, and why building relationships and reputation are the most critical — and most underestimated — ingredients for venture success.
In a recent episode of Ryan Miller's Making Billions podcast, TechNexus Venture Collaborative VP Kaitlyn Doyle spoke about the state of the VC industry, gave advice for aspiring investors, and provided insights on why building relationships — and your reputation — are critical for venture success. "Sourcing, especially early on, is going to be (focused) really heavy on relationships," Doyle said. "But it goes back to your reputation. Why do people want to have relationships with you? And it goes back to your results. What type of value are you going to add after the check? What type of support are you going to be to your co-investors, to the entrepreneurs, to ultimately get the deal done, first and foremost, but then see the company succeed post-investment ... It's definitely the long haul and being able to show that you can do deals and that you do them well." See the full interview below:
